A couple weeks ago my rant was regarding the stupidity of Keith Ballard in taking out his own goalie, Thomas Vokoun. I was pretty fired up when I wrote that but that was nothing to how I feel about last nights Caps v Avalanche game.
David Koci is my new target and this is much more serious than my Keith Ballard rant. Those folks that know me know I love the Caps and Mike Green is my top defensive player. The hit that David Koci put on Mike Green last night was yet another example of the craziness that is happening in hockey. As of this writing there is still no announcement that Koci is going to get suspended. How the heck is that possible.

The hit was unacceptable on anyone, including Sidney Crosby (who I am NOT a fan of). So NHL what are you going to do....anything. At this point I'm assuming not, why, because Mike Green plays for the Washington Caps and is the teammate of Alex Ovechkin, who seems to be the latest target for the NHL referees. Alex was recently suspended for 2 games because of this hit

Please Gary Bettman, don't continue to disappoint me and redeem an ounce of respect and do something.
So far the good news is that while Mikey has a black eye and some stitches they are still planning on him playing on Friday.
i don't follow sports closely enough to say this with like, a solid fact basis, but it just seems to me that the dc teams always get the bad end of the stick. i can't believe unsportsmanlike behavior like that didn't get an immediate punishment.
